Title: Disconnecting battery & Powersounder
Post by: Rockhampton on 16 January 2010, 19:55:05
G'day all,
Just a quick one - if the weather is dry tomorrow, I'm going to be doing some work on the car, which will likely involve me disconnecting the battery - am I right in saying that to prevent the Powersounder going off, I need to turn on the ignition, turn it off, then disconnect the battery within ten seconds? I've tried doing a search, but can't find it  :(
Thanks all in advance  :y

About right .. how I do it is .. loosen the earth connection on the battery right off, but don't actually lift it.

Switch ignition on, then off, step around and lift off earth connection in quick time.

I suppose if you had someone to do the switching it would be even easier .. but I'm usually on me own...  :)

Not at all difficult .. :)

Thanks Entwood, I knew it was something like that... perhaps one of the kids will assist for a small bribe!  :y
