I have an aux. heater pump, the car has aircon but not climate-control: oddly, the pump simply has a 12volt feed with ignition-on or accessory key positions......mine seized-up also.....Fuse is F15 (20 Amp.)

but have now found another of these pumps although a different part number that looks like its circulating water from the bottom to the top of the rad ( or the other way ) and that one is completely seized so need to locate a new one
Bosch 0392020034

::) Judging by my car, a comprehensive list comprising: an ineffective aux. heater pump, rubber tyres and glazed windows. ;D

ok sourced one on the bay from a guy breaking :)

I believe the pump only runs when the climate is turned on with the engine stopped. It is to allow "residual heat" from the engine to keep the car warm.
On a misconfigured climate panel (configured for no pump present) it runs all the time the ignition is on.
The electric pump by the radiator is to circulate coolant when the engine is stopped. It only runs when the engine has been stopped and the temperature is high enough for one of the fans to cut in. It circulates a little coolant to stop after-boiling.

iirc facelift can use the pump like that, it just speeds heat up on prefacelifts

Thanks for the replies there guys, ill check what you have put jimbob and see if it runs then. As for the other pump, i could have saves £25 quid. Oh well may as well fit it now when it arrives
