Title: code on car 400 on or off?

Hi I need to disconnect the battery when I change my interior, but do not have the radio code (or carpass)
Having read the audio manual it suggests that if the led is not flashing and the word code does not come up when you switch ignition on then the code is inactive. can anyone confirm this ? will it all come back on again when reconnected?

The Code status CANNOT be confirmed without the presence of the known code - LED status is dependant on ignition and system settings.

If you do not know the code, we can help when the time comes.
