This is not an mig related question but will post here cause it is definitely an electrical related.
My friend xas a XF with premium luxury equipment.
Looks like when he bought the car the dealer stole the gps module (rewriutten the contract and removed the gps module from the car).
The friend contacted the service in Austria and they told him the car had gps installed in factory as standard.
So when he called the same dealer and asked can he buy the module as an extra the dealer wanted 10,000 Euro-s for it ;D
I really have no experience with the factory installed gps devices, but need to know some information.
What kind of gps are we talking here about?
If it is only some sort of module can you use some other similar module which will work with the car?
I know the questions are difficult but hopefully someone will be able to provide a little help

Its a dedicated module that needs to be used with that - the car "should" be prewired for it, but cannot confirm that as I`m only used to UK versions.
I would be surprised if it cost you more than £3k to fit yourself though - certainly not £10K !!
You need to make sure it is just the navi module missing, and that the dealer has not changed the head unit for the lower spec one as well

Have no idea about headunit, although I think all xf have the same headunit. Think it is only navigation module missin (the part in the boot)

We see quite a few different XF model head units for repair / decode and not all of them can run the Nav !!
Easy to spot though, look for any GUIDANCE / NAV / ROUTE buttons on the head unit

Ok Dave thanks for the info.

Sounds like a dealer looking for a quick buck. Tell him to write to customer services in the country where he bought it :y
