Title: Stereo tuning problem
Post by: David Bibby on 20 February 2010, 16:07:36
Ok, so, from my previous post I've managed to find the problem with my stereo and fix it, but now i have a completely rediculous problem that I can't tune the radio to any station that ends in an even number, such as radio 1 in my area, 98.2. It will only move by 0.2 each time.

Is the stereo broken or is this a design flaw?

Not sure if your radio is available in America but...

In America they use a different interval between the transmission frequencies. If your radio has reset to default settings you may need to change from American to European settings.

You`ve managed to reset the stereo to USA mode by holding down a couple of the buttons

What stereo do you have, and what problem were you trying to fix that got you into this?

It is the CCRT700, and the battery died, so it lost power.

How do you change it back to UK? I seem to remember that I had this problem before, but it seemed to have the memory setting for even stations, but I couldn't add any new ones!

You have to turn the radio off. Hold the button that has a picture of a musical note and turn on. This brings up a menu. Select MW Steps and you want to set it to 9KHz.

That should sort it :y
