If I'm not wrong they are two wires, one blue-red and one green-brown.

Don't know colours, but at mic end is screened, which may give clue to colours.

There are 2 different mics used in Omega, afaik not interchangable.

From memory, one type connects on middle 2 pins, other on pin 1 and pin 2 (or similar)

Oh so thats what those slots are...

I don't have the phone option in my miggy, BUT everytime I turn over the car I get a whistle from that slot on crank over.

Now that has answered that question.

Does anyone elses do that??

Thanks everyone problem solved.
It was the head unit all along! The connection block at the back of the cage wasnt secure, so when the unit was pushed in it wasnt connecting properly. All sorted now so on to the next problem....... :)
