Take it you have xenons mate,if so its probably just the level sensors leveling the lights.I have noticed this a few times on mine when i switch the lights on ;)

That sounds like a ballast problem constantly firing the bulb.

This can either be a faulty ballast or your HID bulb has worn out and will not keep a constant ignition.

Is it twitching up and down? or blinking on and off?

Or both?

Does the 'twitch' occur when the car is stationary or on the move?
If on the move, then I suspect you're simply witnessing the movements to keep the light level (so as not to glare at oncoming traffic). I can see mine move on a poor road surface.
If static, then burner (bulb) or ballast checking out.
If it's a burner, then there will more than likely be a pink tinge to the light it casts.

Sounds to me like the self levelling setup on the headlights is starting to get flaky.
