Title: ccr2600 reception

hi have a 2.6 facelift cdx only had this car a week but have found out that while radio is on everything is fine untill i have to put rear demister on then i get very poor reception turn turn rear heater off everything is fine  :-?

Sounds like a bad earth somewhere to me, but being blonde I am probaby WRONG.

The aerial for the radio IS the rear screen heater !!

Couple of things you can check... there is a "coupling box" - probably has a more tech name .. that joins the co-ax aerial cable to the heater ... worth a check to make sure it is really well connected.

Visually check EVERY line of the heated rear screen .... any small breaks cause "arcing" when the heater is on .. this induces noise into the signal

The aerial is part of window element.

Ensure inside of window is clean, and check the connectors to both HRW, and aerial amp (under parcel shelf
