Title: NCDC 2013 sat nav
Post by: Dave Elite on 10 March 2010, 17:34:22
It was working fine a few days ago, but now its getting confused about the location, it keeps thinking I'm on a different local road. Any sugestions?

Press and hold MAIN for 7s, then release. Then press Nav.

Now here's where I'm a bit vague - press either MAIN or NAV a number of times and it will flick through the 3 pages of diag info.  Will be on there somewhere.

Sorry, my car is 90m away, so can't confirm specifics

easier / cheaper / quicker to put a new aftermarket GPS aerial on it to try it out - usually only around £10 - £15 from ebay

Err, zero. None. Zilch.

Possibly worth checking the satnav connector at back of radio is in place and making good ontact (small coax connector)

Right just been out and took the head unit out and I took the cage out as well, then I took the leads out of the cage and pluged them into the head unit but it still doesnt seem to be working. It was working the other day fine :(

I've fixed it now. I did a search and found a thread where someone had reset the head unit (for another reason). So I thought I'd give that a go. I held down the 'clear' button and the head unit reset, and the sat nav started working perfectly again :)

Sorry, not sure what connectors are used on the Omega, so not able to point you at anything.
