Title: Indicators not Flashing
Post by: Johna on 24 March 2010, 11:00:07
Morning Everyone!

I was out in my mig yesterday, everything totally fine. Got in to drive to work this morning and realised the indicators aren't flashing. They are lit when I indicate, just not flashing. I assume a relay has gone somewhere? Is it built into the stalk, as I switched stalk a couple weeks back for a cruise one, and I am meant to have it in to the stealer on Saturday to have the tech2 stuff done?

It's probably just coincidence, but it rained last night and one of my "cherubs" had left the back door slightly ajar. Not enough to have the interior light on, as the car started fine this morning.

Thanks

As a first step.....turn the hazards on and off 20+ times

I'll give it a go at lunchtime. Should I be looking for anything in particular to happen?

Thanks

Hee hee, I kind of hoped  ;D

Unfortunately, I tried the hazards thing and still no joy. All the lights lit up but still no flashing!

Possibly the flasher unit then, have a look in the FAQ for the cabin fuse box layout, the flasher is in there somewhere.

Now that's weird! Parked her up a couple days, came back, started her up, switched on the indicators & they worked!!!

Vauxhall electrics maybe? :D

Check all the relays in the triangle fuse box under the bonnet are a tight fit. They only have to become slightly unseated & you can get a dodgy circuit. :y
