Hi, the fan on my climate control system wont run. If I switch the aircon on I can hear the engine note drop as the compressor kicks in and I can hear the servos running as I switch the controls about. If I switch to demist I'm sure that should bring in the blower but no, if I switch the setting to LO there is still no fan. It was all fine the other day, by the way.
Is there a particular fuse or relay that could have failed to cause this?
Any help or ideas appreciated. :-/

Check the scuttle drain .. if this gets blocked and fills with water it overflows into the blower motor and its controls ... and doesn't do it any good whatsoever. If this has happened in the past you might see signs of wet carpet passenger footwell.
Could well have fubared your blower motor/control

Ta for the reply but pretty sure scuttle drain ok as recently cleaned.
Is there a specific fuse at all?

fuse 33 on the fascia fusebox

Cheers henry, I'll look at this tomorrow.
not sure if the same fuse covers all the aircon, fan & servos together. If so probs motor goosed. isn't there a resistor pack as well near the fan motor? Anyone?

Good news, for me anyway. My lad was having a look to see if fuse 33 was ok (it was) and decided to have a look under a panel that lives under the glove box. He could see the multiplug which feeds the climate system had come loose. He snapped it back together and hey presto fully working climate again :D. Is this a sign that someone's been there before fiddling about or just poor Opel quality control? Either way glad to have it sorted. :y
