Have managed to get correct ecu and transponder but where does the transponder go?is it plug n play or what happens?any help appreaciated!
-
Not being very well up on the Omega ones, and I hope that others will correct me, but I would have thought you would need the following
ECU
Transponder aerial that goes near steering lock
Transponder key chip for key itself
Some form of Code number so that Tech2 can communicate with the ECU, presuming that the original car pass number is now defunct

I have chip and new ecu and transponder all off same car so is it plug n play or does it still need programming?

I would imagine that there will be an element of programming involved ?

In that case the 3 should work together if transferred onto another car - assuming the car was the same config (automatic / manual gearbox, etc).

Yes it's an auto with auto ecu which is 428 so I would have thought all three would work but wasn't sure where the transponder went but when it comes I'll try it all out!!
-
transponder slips into key, in place of current transponder

Cheers all!

Agreed, although I don't think the gearbox/spec level is going to upset the mix.
