Title: Missing Fuses
Post by: griffin on 19 April 2010, 19:53:15
Hi

Just been checking the fuses on the car and I'm missing a couple of fuses and wondering if they should be there or not:

No4 - cooling fan
No6 - Radio Infotainment
No8 - Not required
No10 - Not required
No24 - Coolant Heating

If anyone with better knowledge than me could help!!

Thanks
 :)

The 'Not required' fuses speak for themselves, the other 3 might not be fitted to your car. Check in the fuse holder to see if any of them have the contacts behind them. If they don't then add them to the 'Not required' list ;)

Thanks for that.

They do all have contacts. I appreciate that the fuses reltating the diesel parts would not be applicable but the others I thought should have fuses but saying that everything on the car seems to be working.

They must be options not fitted to your car then at my best guess.

Just as a FYI,

Fuse 8 is for Daytime Running Lights, like the type used in the US market

Fuse 10 is for the Heated Diesel Fuel Filter.

 ;)

They build up wiring looms in segments.

SWMBO's Focus has one for the electric sunroof fitted - which it ain't even got! The wiring suddenly stops at a connector and goes no further!
