I had a flat battery so i jumped started the miggy and radio stopped working straight away.
I have changed the 10amp fuse in the back of the radio and the radio fuse in the fuse box (fuse 6 & 12) but nothing is doing.
I had a spare radio CDR2005 which i fitted, still nothing doing. All other electronics working just fine in the car.
Any help will be appreciated as i don't want to fit an after market head unit in this car (Omega purist ;))

dose it say any thing on the display??

Nothing. Just shows the date. Basically the radio unit does not power on at all.

Something amiss here. Jump starting a car shouldn't blow these fuses - are sure you ha
ved the supply the right way round?
Now if it is just locked out - well, they can do that sir.
But as above, the mid should tell you.
I knew of a pug that was used to jump other cars periodically, it always lost its code yet started the other card no problem.

As per the manual fuse no 6 and 12 are responsible for the radio among others. But these two fuses are working fine as everything electronic in the car is working.

Quite often for the fuse to blow at the back of the stereo if jump started whilst radio in "on" state
Pull radio, and look nxt to iso power connectors
Should be a 10A blade fuse in there - bet its blown
;)

have you tryed the eath wire on the back of the radio there are 2 brown wires one thick and on thin, also the thin brown gose to the back of the display and one white and red stripe wire from display to radio (think it is that colour), should be live when ignition is on.

Got if fixed and working after a week of no radio. Basically the power loom at the back of the radio was coming loose and the radio wouold go off. Just removed the radio and cage and adjusted and all is well. Thanks for all your contributions. :)
