i have a problem with the drivers door centeral locking one minute i can use the remote and all the doors lock then i would try it again and all lock apart from the drivers door which then means they all unlock again do i need a new door motor or is it something that controls the locking????

Well if it works once its doubtful its the motor,could be one of the linkages,but then on the other hand,the father in law has this same problem with his focus,but the motor is fine. :-/

Hi Ryan. Just been reading your problem with drivers side central locking, i have the same problem did you manage to get it fixed. If so would be grateful for any advice.

some times it can just be the wire in the door from the A post, unscrew the wire plug and give it a clean, also change the rubber seal its an O-ring. :y

I once had the very same issue you have Ryan, and I tried to purservere with just using some WD40, along with a hope that it would sort itself out. It didn't! The one faulty lock decided to stay locked for longer periods.
The answer was the simple job of replacing the solenoid. All worked perfectly after that ;) ;)
