Can anyone tell me whether the door solenoids on the facelift Omega are all the same. i.e. does a rear solenoid also fit the front ?
Thanks

no the fronts are different to the rears :y

Damn ! :( I was hoping that they were the same. Any ideas as to how much a front solenoid would be from a dealer ?

First thing to try is take the door card off & give the motor a good dose of WD40 working it in by pressing the central locking remote, it worked for me & a couple of others on here. But, as will be pointed out from fellow OOFers, it might only be a short term solution :(
Try eBay for a 'New' solenoid, there were quite a few original motors on there last time i looked & that was only a couple of weeks ago! :y

got one from breakers for £5 :y

Been watching ebay and missed one 'cos I was out. I have emailed the chap who has said he will be listing some more shortly so I'll wait for him. It's not a problem at the moment as it still works from the driver's door.

As said, try lub'ing all the linkages around the lock, but use something like chain lub rather than WD40. Chain lub will get into all the nooks & crannies but won't disappear like WD does :y

I'll give that a try as I have some left over from when I had my honda cbr. :)

Tried the wd40 and chain lube route but no success. Replaced solenoid from scrappie and works perfectly now.

There's a howtodo in the maint section to swap the micro switches inside. You could make yourself a spare ;) ;)

Sounds good to me, I've already bookmarked the page. Thanks for the headsup :y
