Title: cant get 2006 head unit out

i have 2000 30l elite tryed to get 2006 head unit out went to halfords and bought the keys but face came of and cant get it back no matter what i tryed cant get the dam thing out no tunes help :'(

Try genuine Vx removal keys, they are a slightly better shape for gripping the radio

Halfords ones tend to pull out every time pressure is applied.

Be carefull reattatching that facia, it can be permanently damaged if care is not taken to align the pins on the circuit

Hellfrauds only sell the really crappy autoleads removal keys.  Try better quality ones, as Dave DND suggests.

Even with the best keys, its still awkward, as the connectors on the back really do hold on to it, plus its a very snug fit in the cage

Been there dunnit(before my forum days) use great care!! and I had to resort to S/glue but in the end succeeded hope you have my luck :y :y
