Hello i have a 2003 Omega and the bootlid will not open either by the key :( or switch ... any ideas ? thank-you ..... :)

could be the lock release has seized, there is a release hand inside the boot. From the back, passenger side put the back seats down, its on the boot lid itself, at the back on the right, pull this handle towards you, it will open the boot.
Its then worth checking the mechanism :y

Also, the button on the dashboard needs to be held down for about 3 seconds before the lid will release to avoid it being popped accidentally.
Could be the button on the remote has failed. Does your remote have an LED that comes on when you press the buttons? Does it flash when you press the boot release?
Another thing you can check is to watch the alarm LED at night. When you press the boot release button on the keyfob it should start flashing rapidly it it has received the signal. If that works it might be the solenoid that releases the lock catch although they don't generally fail.
