As Andy has already said above, plus you can buy the bulbs on their own, you do not need the holder (just pull bulb out). It works out cheaper like that as you will need to replace all temp/fan bulbs as per guide. For some reason, if you replace one or two the others go shortly after. :y :y

Unfortunately, if all the bulbs failed at the same time, it's more than likely that the PCB is at fault. I've had a Climate Panel which was faulty, and had to 'bodge' it to make the bulbs illuminate. Not a terrifically difficult job to do, but easier to fit another panel. :y

Are you sure? I seem to remember replacing the bulbs in my old Vectra's climate panel and they looked similar to the type you describe but they were soldered into position, rather than just pushed in...

100% sure. I'm looking at one right now. It is even a Halfords part and can be found with their bulbs with the packet number 286.
The bulb glass goes flat on the end and has a wire bent up each side. Vauxhall were going to sell me the whole part until a technician walked past and asked me why I was buying the complete part when all I needed was the bulb. :y :y
I can attach a photo if required. :y

The LCD displays are illuminated by the 1.2w push/twist bulbs that sit behind the display 'pod'. :y
