Not used the Mig for a while now I think the battery has gone flat or something but I can't open the car not even with the key in the lock any ideas?
-
The key in the lock will go... It may feel like it's going to break but will go :y
A little late for this advice now but I tend to use the lock about once a fortnight to make sure it stays free :y :y
-
Ok I'm asuming clockwise but it's bloody tight
-
................and be warned the button may not lift, but the lock will be dis-engaged! ;) ;)
-
Ok I have tried it but like I said it was tight didn't want to force it just in case, think I'll try some WD at the same time.
-
It will be VERY stiff...
-
I had exactly the same problem in mine.spray it with wd and leave for 20 min and the lick will turn.but they are all correct in that it's blummin stiff and feels like key wil break!good luck!
-
All sorted now and it's on charge.
-
Would probably be a good idea to keep your eye on the battery voltage for the next few days. Running down to totally flat shortens the life of a battery and can sometimes be the final nail in the coffin of an old one, preventing it from ever taking a decent charge again.
Hope not, but worth checking :)

It's on charge with one of those diagnostic type charges it's charging and therefore fingers crossed should be ok.

I have a little mod you may be interested in, it allows you to attach a spare 12v source to the terminals so you can open the central locking when the battery is flat. PM me and I'll send you a description. It does NOT allow anything else to get power, just central locking.

would strongly suggest to get some graphite powder from a locksmiths or DIY store and put a little in the locks asap. Not only does this lubricate the lock over time, but it will prevent the residue from the WD40 you sprayed in there from congealing at the bottom of the barrell.
