Title: air con and power steering failed at same time??

hi all,
I bought my omega a couple of months ago.
despite being an S Reg generally good condition over recently a few niggles and a major one this morning.

Both the aircon and power steering worked fine at start up and as I drove away this morning however I needed to pull over a few metres from the house and when I drove down from the curb something must have disconnected/broken.

Straight away the aircon controls and the bank of buttons above the radio stopped working, then I noticed the steering was much heavier - the power steering wasn't working either.  >:(

Perhaps it's a busted fuse or a shared electrical switch?
I've looked online for a solution but no luck - hoping someone would have a suggestion?

First check is fuse #14 under steering wheel
