Title: Head unit safe mode

Hi again everyone,
Finally got my car back on the road but having a bit of a problem with the head unit. Put the code in 5 times and now in safe mode. Then I found that the card I was getting the code from was the wrong one.
I've tried the search facility on this subject and the closest answer that I have found is leave the radio on displaying safe and it should give me another go.
Does anyone know how long I need to leave it on for and does this have to be solid for the set period (i.e. do I have to be sat in the car for the whole time) or will it eventually update if I just have it on while I'm driving.

Between 10m and 11hr, with ign constantly on.

Indicating which model of radio you have may also prompt another solution to be given !!
