Don't be alarmed when you unplug it, this will usually activate it, but it will stop after a while  ;D

You could also try replacing the batteries inside it, then plug it back in. :y

Is this a main dealer part only as I think mine is starting to go. Im getting this beep every now and then so I suspect that this is the cause. Im right in thinking once its disconnected the alarm system wont work if the car battery is disconnected

Don't worry about it, there's tons of info here to wade through. The complete power sounder is available from the dealers - £60ish IIRC - but changing the batteries requires a hacksaw to cut it open. I'm sure there's a how2do somewhere.  ;) ;) ;)

Too many little s***S around here  that think they can use ya car as a battering ram hence why I think I will change it  knowing that the car is still alarmed.

Thanks again for that bit of info tho :y

Not sure if unplugging it will remove the fire risk. The batteries will still leak.I removed mine from the car. :-/

Just done mine .... dead easy job  to remove but may try later in getting inside it  to replace the batteries but there again it might just sit in the shed on a shelf gathering dust   ::) ;D

These things have a reputation for catching fire when they get old.  If I were you I would either fix it or bin it dispose of it appropriately with regard to the environment.

Unless you want a new shed on the insurance, of course.    ;D
