Title: sunroof

I've got a problem with the sunroof, it was working last week with no hassle but today it does nothing checked the fuse all ok and I can move it manually but not by the switch, any insight anyone?

Hiya ,as all fuses o.k try holding the control knob in for a while then try each function in turn. HTH :y

Why would anyone want to use a sunroof in this weather!! Its absolutely peeing down!! ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Me! I'm a smoker so I have the sunroof on tilt permanently to vent the car out :y

It's one of the things I miss the most, not having a sunroof...

Yep, it's still sitting in my shed (free to good home, b.t.w.).
Some how I don't think my body work skills are up to cutting a hole in the roof of my Vectra and trying to graft in the Omega sunroof..

No skills these days.. :D :D I remember when we cut out a full Webasto vinyl sunroof from a triumph herald a bravely cut a whole in the roof of a Ford Escort Estate...worked well.... :y :y

You'd be surprised at what you can
accomplish if you have the right tools.   ;D :y

 For future reference what you've done by holding in the switch in for  (three, four? I forget exactly) seconds is 'reprogramme' the sunroof. Generally a sign you've had the battery off at some point, but Ive known them magically need doing of their own volition. It needs to 'remember' what up/down is, where is 'stop' etc. Same story with the windows....do they still have one-touch function? If not do the same trick. When fully closed hold the 'up' button till you hear a click after second or less. Thus one-touch is restored.
