do they do a full sweep? are they any slower than usual? sometimes the nuts holding them to the car work themselves loose, might not be this but worth a look  :y

Who's been switching their frozen wipers on without defrosting?  ::) ::) ::)
As freind61 says. The motor has an arm bolted to it that connects to the rest of the wiper linkage, it's this nut that's come loose. Remove wiper arms, and then the plastic scuttle to gain access to the wiper motor. There are 4 self tappers holding the complete assembly to the car, undo these and remove the lot from the car, be careful of the paint on your driver's wing. There are marks on the ally casting that the motor bolts to >    < the arm should sit between these marks.

Just used your advice thanks chaps and fixed my wipers. I bust them yesterday and they were resting in the middle of the screen when turned off.
I've got a 2.0cd ( yr 2000 ), Ididn't need to mess about taking all the wipers and scuttle thingy off, I got access from the engine bay ok. It was a bit of a fiddly  ;Dgaenacology job, but if you turn the wipers on and stop them at the top of the cycle using the ignition key it makes access easier.

Ta chaps
