Having put a new battery in my car the radio requires a code. What is the best way to sort out, main dealer or is there any easyer way. :)
-
You will need a 'car pass' from a main dealer anything from £25+. This requires you to provide the vehicles V5 usually, to prove ownership. Before spending your hard earned, why not remove the radio & see if some
numpty kind person has written the code somewhere on the radio chassis? :y

Will give that a go never thought checking the radio.
I have all the hand books and service book but no car/radio pass.
-
are you sure its not hidden in one of your books somewhere ? it is only creditcard size ;)
also if the radio has been changed at anytime in the cars life then the carpass will be no good as it will only give you the code for the original radio :y

Will have to have a look in glove box tomorrow.
I got piles of stuff off the old ower but that was nearly 4 years ago. The old guy kept everthing so I think I would have had it at one time. :)
