Make sure the radio is turned off then press the ON button and AS both together then put your code in using the 1,2,3and 4 buttons when you've entered the the correct number press and hold the AS button for about 5sec when the display changes press any of the number buttons and you should have a working radio :y

martin
is anything showing on display ? and what model radio ?
-
Model number of radio would prove usefull !!
;)
-
Yes, we need the model of radio.
Given its an Elite, I'm guessing
sc804
ccr800
ccrt700
ccr2006
ccrt2008
ncdc201x
All have slightly different ways to enter code.
When you turn radio on, the ign must already be on. That is vital ;)

Have pressed both key pads ON and AS together but still with no success!! even checked the fuses but again there all ok.

How about answering the questions others have asked?

I'll be about the 4th person to ask.... what model radio!?

The Model number is CCRT 700
Martin, this is worse than trying to get blood from a stone. There are obviously people here trying to help you, but in order to do so, some questions have been asked, and for some reason you still seem to be unwilling to answer them. If you are reluctant to answer them, then regretfully, we cannot help.
The question that remains unanswered, now that we finally have a model number from you, is what message is shown on the display?
:-?

I do appologise for not giving all the required info and appreciate all the helpful advice. There is nothing shown on the display.

When radio is turned ON does the unit illuminate
-
providing the ignition is on, or even better have car running to make sure there is a live feed to stereo, make sure stereo is OFF, hold the AS button and at the same time switch the unit on (press the big knob) on the display you should be presented with CODE and then ---- to enter the digits.
If there is nothing shown on the display at all, that could mean there is no power to headunit (wiring been tampered with?)
Im assuming it was working before your battery went flat?
-
Nothing is illuminated on the radio also the screen does not show anything
-
Yes the radio was working fine before the flat battery
-
if you have stereo removal keys, pull the unit out and check the fuse on the back of the unit. failing that check if the wiring has been altered by any previous owners while its out.
its a power related problem preventing you getting the unit to prompt for the code by the looks of it
-
OK, if previously functioning before battery issues, then would suspect fuses.
The display should be coming on and showing something, even if other functions - possible bulb failure, more likely blown fuse somewhere.
Stereo should show some signs of life when switched on, if not, again check main fuses, and also the one on the rear of the head unit.
