Title: is this normal CDR2005

2001 facelift with CDR2005 fitted
the unit does not switch off when you remove the ignition key
but when you open the door it does switch off
is this right?

No - it should go out when the key is removed from ignition.

You could try reprogramming it for Ign Key Logic and see what happens. :-/

Sounds like the front fascia may have been inadvertantly pulled off at some stage and has been badly refitted with not all of the connections making good contact

It's setup. It's described on the manual of the unit. You can turn it so that i tgoes off with ignition or you can select to ONLY use the power button. Links to Manuals should be available from the forum....I've seen them... Dunno where... In the glovebox?
