brake check would look at the bulb holder ( brown and white wire i think), and the bulbs.
if your water bottle frozz up the the switch may have been damaged.

my float switch sensor is new freecall also if the switch was damaged, seeing as its only a float switch on/off i would get the level warning on start up not just on turning car off  :-?

Errr, that is incorrect...  ...Check Brakelight, if it doesn't go out, will be brake switch.

Brake Light is a bulb/circuit fault.

no ideas about the washer level only coming up on switch off jamie  :-? its baffling me    ::)
and its only on turning ignition off, like the other warnings that remind you that you havent done anything about them, doesnt come up on start up or whilst the car running  :-? :-?

some faults maybe still in the display, so on switch off it displays them, so may just need a rest

Can you get a meter across the sensor, just to prove it?

Does sound a bit odd...

Would this have been removed for the head gasket work to be done, as mine has only started doing this since I had work done on the car...

well 50/50 mix antifreeze
       50/50 mix screenwash
so only 50% water but yes water all the same  ;D
just different bottles different uses and different locations  ;D
maybe that was causing the original problem i had them mixed up (not) ;D ;D ;D ;D

My question is the same as yours, just with Omegas there is never a straight answer to a problem, you have to go around the houses to sort them ::) ::) ::)
In essence it needs an electrical circuit to work, if this is broken then the warning will show, low washer fluid.. :)

yup vamps you are correct but my question was that the washer level warning was coming up only on turning off the ignition not on start up or car running and as the float switch is only on/off if the float switch was faulty it wouldnt be making/breaking the contact therefore would show warning all the time
anyways changed float switch again and now all seems fine  :y

IMO the error would not show all the time, If you have an open circuit tail light the ecu notes this and you are reminded about it after you switch off.
