I've got a chicken box and a Zetagi 606 wired in to mine. 4mm twin cable direct off the battery with a 20a fuse inline on both lines about 2" from the battery. They are through the large rubber grommit near the pollen filter. Cable run is down behind the glove box and under the centre console and out under the drivers seat. A cigarette lighter plug from the rear plug into a 5 pin relay which shuts off the rig and linear when the ignition goes off. Fairly simple to wire up.
10.4 :y

thanks welung ive a cobra rig and will sort the wiring out at weekend as its hard to hear people with so much noise and every time i rev the car it gets worse.
would turning of the cb not be ok instead of wiring in the relay?

I've just binned a cobra UK29, had it since new and it gradually died on the RX to the point where I couldn't hear anything. I'm on the hunt for a President Jackson 2 now.
Yes you can just turn it off, I only wired it this way incase I forget to turn the burner off and kill the battery on the car :y

That brings back some memories! My first homebase was a Teddy R on AM. I think it's still at my moms house along with my 6 stage silver rod ;D
Been looking at the Jackson 2 and can't believe the prices! Over £200 for a used one :o

Don't pull too much current from there though, you'll melt something. Standard 4W is Ok.
