Hi wonder if someone can help me, have recently purchased a Omega 2.5 cdx estate after having my other stolen this one has a Phillips CCRT 700 in it and no instruction manual, can anyone tell me how the phone part of it works please ie do i have to use the sim thats in it or can i use any network etc and how i actually use it lol :-/

I might have a spare copy of the manual... i'll have a look later.
in the mean time.
basically it only works on O2 , (and i think vodafone?)
because it's only capable of receiving that set of frequencies, (single band ?) whereas most mobiles can receive several different bands of frequencies..
if you pop off the front panel, you'll find a sim card slot.... it's a full size slot... i got a new sim from O2, they come in like a credit card size piece of plastic, just leave it in the plastic, and slot that card in to the slot....
assuming it's all connected up properly to an aerial (which is SOME assumption, as AFAIK, your model never came with this stereo.... so someone has fitted it it later... ) you should be able to use the phone... select phone mode , dial the number, press the green button.... bingo... one phone call.
if i have a spare manual I'll happily pass it on.... failing that I could do something about getting the relevant pages in to a PDF for you....

hi
mine works with an O2 pay as you go :) as how to use press the phone button then dial as usual using keypad, messages texts etc are located by the use of the big round button scrolling by turning, clicking to go to an option, hope this helps :y

And in UK, its o2 or voda only. 3, T-Mobile and Orange wont work

I've got a CCRT700 manual here if you fancy a run down to Merry Hell?

Hi I have just purchased a 2.5 CDX with CCRT700 and I used a Tesco pay as you go sim but you must leave the sim on the large card and put in with sim contacts uppermost and it works fine.
