Title: TEC help needed in Essex
Post by: Lampynoiseboy on 26 November 2010, 13:36:50
Hi all

Having eliminated all but 1 of my error messages, I'm left with the annoying "headlamp range adjustment!!!" although why this notification warrents 3 exclamation marks is beyond me ...... ::)

Anyhoo, the general consensus is it needs running from end to end a few times, with a tec2. I'm in Southend-on-Mud, deepest, darkest Essex, who's the closest who wants to earn a sheckle or 2?

Would also like (the same?) expert to cast a look over my non self-adjusting self-adjusting suspension.....& yes, the pump is running  :(

Cheers

Have you checked the sensors?

For the suspension? No, I read advice given by others, but am not car-mechanically minded or inclined, just want to pay an expert to fix it for me- and no, not someone from Toomeys...... I have 1 mortgage already!!!

You dont need to be mechanically minded to check if the sensor has popped off... ;)

Suspension - presumably it still has self levelling shocks on?

I imagine it has, as I've had the same (rather large) heavy weight in the boot since owned, and up until recently it was nice & level. I was hoping whoever (maybe you?) wanted to sort my lamps out would look at it for me- and I'm certainly not getting under there in 6" of snow!

Fancy popping over to the Guffers' cam belt meet perhaps? Can put some names to faces and have a look at it.

Especially as it looks like a brace of Tech 2's will be present... Assuming one of them doesn't get "special" treatment at the gate :-X :-X :-X

Wouldn't be the first time.  I'm quite used to pulling up at MoD sites, and some spotty kids poking a semi automatic in through your window, into you ear.  Funny how you tend to forget your registration when they ask ;D

Actually, the kids on the base I used to go almost daily weren't normally allowed live ammunition, so I made it my business to wind them up (we used to get told beforehand if they were on alert or not (and thus, live ammo)).  As was upsetting Mod-Plod, getting them to chase you, then let them catch you just outside their juristriction. Oh what fun days...

(I should point out, I was much younger, and far more purile and immature) ::)

26th Feb, details here (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1291803736) - you need to PM Guffer to get your name on the list if you want to go.
