Title: Its started. Perhaps the ladies on the forum
Post by: Elite Pete on 22 February 2008, 08:33:33
Can explain something to me.

When the cambelt party date was organised I asked my wife if I could go and she said yes so why is it that this morning has been hell. As soon as she awoke this morning the nagging started and I know its because im away this weekend because the same thing happens every time. I dont moan when ive been doing the bathroom up the last couple of weeks and to get out of the way she goes shopping with her daughters all weekend so what am I doing wrong >:(

Oh and im not saying all you ladies are the same, I know there are wives/girlfriends out there that dont mind hubby playing cars and having a few beers. Being a man and probably insensitive I could be missing something simple.

i'm lucky, my wife is pretty good about me and my car habits.

so long as i give her enough warning then i am allowed to go, i normally take my daughter as she love to come along to social events as well, i suppose its a bit of a break for the both of them.

i do try and ensure that i balance my time though, i work away a lot and whilst i could occupy all my time with cars i don't i do try and give her as much attention as poss (i'm not saying you don't by the way  ;) )

Oh she wont be bored, she will be out probably with her daughters doing what she does best, shopping and doing lunch in Chester or Manchester. I know this weekend will cost me a fortune ;D

LOL, if the terrible twins are getting together and supping some plonk, its just as well you're not at home this weekend ;D

Mrs TheBoy is OK with me being away, as long as she has notice.  Although coming in late last night smelling of booze, birds and fags after a 'gentlemens evening' out probably will have repurcussions ::)

I'm sorry to hear that Elite Pete. I'm a lucky sod. I'm taking our caravan to the cambelt meet and my wife has spent all week making sure that everything in it is as it should be, and treating me like a little boy. It's great!
She is half complaining about being on her own at night but has done everything to ensure that I enjoy myself. Should I be suspicious? Perhaps not at the age of 68.   :-/
Perhaps you could take a present back. It can work wonders, especially if you tell her convincingly how much you appreciate her letting you abandon the household for a day or two. (I'm serious!).

Can she use the oven, or is the kitchen still in that state of having to live on takeaways?

Just set the route up for her tonight - TomTom remembers previous route, so just turning on in morning should be enough :y

You wait until I see them ;D

I've seen Mrs Jimbob's secret talent (gymnastics), but not Mrs DTM's yet (I'm guessing its not cooking or sense of direction).  Hmmm, maybe time for a poll ;D

(2nd thoughts, maybe not, I hear she can be scary when provoked  :-X)
