Title: What battery ?

I've domne a search but cannot find any references to what size battery a 2000 F/L Elite should have. The owners manual says 85ah but the car has a 70ah fitted (which may explain why it went flat !!). Do I go with the manual or do you chaps have better advice ?

All suggestions (clean please) welcome.

I don't believe the manual is correct. Certainly the VX "Go" 85Ah battery doesn't physically fit!

Mine has a 65Ah original GM battery.

Not much of the capacity is ever used. As long as the cranking current is good, it will be fine.

Thanks for that Kevin. Is there a particular type I should use. I read somewhere that it should be a 100. Would that be right? I can find 096 and 069 but not 100.

Excellent ! Just phoned the local Vauxhall dealer and they have them in stock. Off to buy one now !!!
