It's a stand alone system so will need to be fitted in it's entirety ;)

Remote start has insurance and legal (if you park on the highway) implications  ;) ;)

thanks for the input.
what if i forgo the remote startand have just the alarm unit like Central Lock / Locking Kit Remote Keyless CLR60W-PLUS
item number 360205576261 do i still need to have the whole system fitted or is a ECU swap possible??

reason for question is my c/l does not work at all whether be it by key or remote. you have to lock/unlock each door individually. it does open the boot though.

Should have made it clearer... No aftermarket alarm system will "plug and play" in place of the existing C/L ECU ;)

I'd be looking at why the factory system has packed up...

As a wild guess I'd say the problem lies with the Driver's door C/L Solenoid ;) It's certainly where I'd start :y
