Post by: Bacon Butty Man on 23 February 2008, 00:04:56
i am trying to sell this, what would you pay on auction for this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300200396886&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=020
even withdoing the repairs your self you have a dogs nuts motor.
this car i have loved even with the probs, its still going great now, would last till the worlld ended. But what would you pay with the description i have given, out of interest. Sorry to say this but its a volkswagen, a little more prestige than a vauxhall, even tho i like the mig more, and its a passat. i loved this car,  :) 2 days left, honhest opinions please. thanx

That’s a matter of opinion, but sorry I would not buy it, even at it’s current price. Good luck though, there is always a buyer somewhere, just don’t always get your price.

i think you've given a fair description and for the money beggars cant be choosers to be honest i think you will have two kinds of punter 1
who wants cheap transport
2 some one who is faithful to the marque
would i buy it ???? if i couldn't get hold of a Vauxhall may be

Valve's need cleaning?, so what we talking about a couple of bottles of Fairy Liquid?, OK, sorry, I'm not a mechanic but I know a few and they all hate VW Audi, Engine Out most of the time.

However (shame its not a Diesel) the VW/Audi 1.9TDi, I reckon is one of the most effective and economical engines going.

(Oh, and I wouldn't pay more than the current price, good luck)

imho, vauxhall is known for cheapness look and feel, not in the omega tho i must admit, it just my opinion of vauxhall as a brand, i think you get a bit more credit for having a vw,  :P. but saying that, i now own a vauxhall that is only 9 years old and the engine is probably bulletproof, i also have a 10 year old Vw for sale and the engine is shagged, lol. And both cars have been looked after, hmm doesnt say much for the quality of the vw really does it, any was, the passat was/is/still can be a good motor for the right buyer. :-?

the passat offers alot of car ,you could buy a lot worse than what you are offering for a lot more money ,you are not hidding any thing so i think common sense will prevail and a sale should not be a problem hope you do ok

the polish guys that came to look at my omega were driving a passat, they said they'd come from Leyland tho, a painter and decorator called Hubert!
