hi all air bag light came on today went to garage to get reset after was installing some foot-well lights, so thought i may have caught 1 of the leads and was the reason it was on, but the garage could not reset and said it came up as passenger air bag squib could some one explain further please, is it possible it could be the air bag in the seat. its difficult trying to no if you fixed it without going to get it reset every time

If you've moved the sill trim, then you might have disturbed the wiring connectors. Best way to be sure would be to:
1. disconnect battery, and wait at least 30 mins.
2. remove seat runner trim, (just slides off).
3. unplug and reconnect ALL the plugs.
4. reconnect battery.
If the light stays on, you've a problem.

It WILL stay on ... can only be reset using the tech2 ... not a light that extiguishes once the fault has gone .. :(

hi mate thanks for info do you think could be the air bag in the seat as as garage said fault was passenger side squib i checked all connections, dident even really go near airbag leads

Passenger side squib is the airbag in the seat. Or the wiring to it (between ECU which is under rear ciggy lighter and the seat - I believe this loom runs up the console, behind glovebox, down passenger sill).

Wiring diagrams in book of lies should point you in the right direction for wiring colours.
