Title: More modern Bose head unit?

I know the omega bose system  isn't compatible with a standard head unit.
but is it possible to get a more modern bose head unit which IS compatible?

or is the only way to get a modern head unit to replace the speakers et al.?

bit of a waste of time me looking for a bose kit for the MV6 then.  :)
