I need to buy a motor for by better half and have about £2500 spare. I was looking at a Tigra but thought a Fraud Puma would be a better buy as they seem a better build. Does any one have a Tigra or Puma to comment on at all?
I've seen S/T plate Pumas for £2200 and tired Tigras on a V plate for £2
I don't really wan't to deviate from Vauxhall/Fraud as i anything else cost more to maintain.
cheers

You'd get a nice Omega for that ;D
Hmm spare crank sensor ;D

Why do you want a small coupe?
Not much room in them...
Not a lot to choose betweeen the Puma and Tigra to be honest, there both much of a muchness. The Puma interior is bloody awful but then it is lifted from a Ka....

having driven both if i had to i would take the Tigra, however i wouldn't have either.
for the money i would try and go with a warm/hot hatch

I've driven both quite regularly...I'd have the Puma over the Tigra any day.
Tigra feels like it'll fall apart.

Thanks for your input chaps. having read the input and a scan of autotrader i managed to convince the mrs that she needs a Corsa. Cheaper to buy, run, insure etc...
Looking at 51 plate 1.2 or 1.7diesel with a few snazzy extra toys with 50-60k on the clock for £2200, give or take a few.
I've read somewhere that some of the new corsa's oly need cambelt changing at 60k, some even have a timing chain...?
I'm sure i drove one of the new shape (2001) corsas as a courtesy car a few years back and was quite happy with the built and drive quality, so much so i drove it for 200+ miles without using the clutch... ;D
Thanks again ;)
