Does anybody know of a bluetooth system that would integrate with a CDC2013, i have seen a few that apparently make use of the front speakers but obviously want to be able to stream music through all 8 using my existing Bose system.
Have tried many fm transmitters in the past but have found travelling around you end up with radio stations bleeding over.
Also by having the bluetooth means handsfree calling etc.
Cheers,
Bob.

Currently investigating the Autoleads iO system, but unsure if it will integrate with BOSE
:-/

If you have the prewiring (if saloon, do you have aerial on roof?), a simple Nokia CW-7K (£20 from egay) is all you need (you may have to run a mic (easy) as not all cars come with one.
Autoleads do an adapter to make it easier, but not reqd really.
//Edit, above is for phone only, as the phone-in is mono and lo-fi. For music, your only option on that is fm adapter, as has been covered umpteen times before

OP doesn't want a chavvy, non integrated stereo, and implies he wants to keep with the Bose setup ;)
-
not chavvy just up to date, niether of us are chavs, how very dare you. lol

Many thanks for the replies.
The car has had a nokia kit in before, microphone is still beside rear view mirror and aerial cable is tucked up under glove box as i guess is the before mentioned socket which i believe is somewhere behind the glovebox.
I would like to keep the factory fitted unit as it has the sat nav and colour screen and obviously fitting an aftermarket unit will require new speakers all round etc.
I have found an article on Parrots website which says that the new parrot i/o and mk 9200 or whatever the latest model is will stream to all four speakers but on cars fitted with Bose there has to be some kind of in line ballast/resistor or something??? obviously Dave will probably know more than me on this score.
All i'm trying to achieve is to be able to put my mp3 music files onto my mobile phone and be able to make/receive calls and be able to play my music through my existing stereo as obviously copied discs screw up the head unit so i don't want to go down that road :-?,
I did find on Egay a seller claiming to have the iso lead to suit but there was no sign of any major modification to support the Bose unit.

You cannot do what you are trying. Accept that, move on ;)
The Aux in on the NCDC is lo-fi mono, so useless for music (its designed purely for phone, and won't be interruptable for satnav/RDS TP etc), and due to Bose, you cannot have devices that directly drive the speakers direct.

I have got a Parrot Mki9200 in my omega, I also have bose.
It is a really good bit of kit although fitting it isn't cheap, the kit cost me around £200 I then found out i needed a cable which by passed the bose kit which cost £75.
It is worth it though, I have got a usb flash drive with all my tunes on it plugged into it or you can stream via bluetooth.
If you are not fussed about streaming music though this is a great handsfree kit, http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/-/1004/1249/-/3508739/Supertooth-Visor-Voice-Bluetooth-Handsfree-Kit/Product.html?searchtype=genre# ive had one of these for a few years now and ive only charged it about three times.

Message for elite Matt could you tell me what lead it needed and where it came from, went into the local halfords today and got the usual wet behind the ears teenager claiming to be an audio expert who looked at me like i was foreign when i explained the 2ohm Bose system!!!! i am looking for the exact set up you have managed to aquire.
-
I've got a Parrot CK3100 plumbed in to mine, works brill, through all speakers, but was already installed, when got the car, so no nothing about it, apart from how to use, external source is display on the m i d when in use
-
sorry did'nt read through all posts, did'nt see you wanted music/mp3 played via bluetooth, will have a play with mine at some point
-
I know i can put a bog standard hands free kit in with bluetooth but am looking for a kit that i can also stream mp3 through the bose system, am hoping i haven't got to tear it out!!!!!!
-
In a nutshell, no.
With the bose speakers, only a Bose amp can drive them. The Bose amp uses 'odd' line levels. So your only option is via HU. Only the HU hasn't got a usable hifi stereo aux-in.
For the bose units, your options are based around FM modulators, or if you have ccr800, ccrt700, CCR2006, CCRT2007 or CCRT2008, a cassette adapter.
Live with it, move on.

Hi Rob,
I bought mine from Halfords and it was installed by them at there Romford branch. When I bought it they told me I would need the by pass cable for the bose system and they ordered it for me. They told me that there Romford branch had one of there specialist fitters which is why I ended up there as I live in Chelmsford, so It might be worth giving the Romford branch a call.
The parrot system as stated doesnt use the bose amp (hence the by pass cable) but it still sounds pretty damn good and the parrot system is superb.
I also went to see these guys in Chelmsford and they said they could order the cable,
http://www.chelmercarsound.com/index.asp
Any car that runs an amp like bose or harmmon kardon etc you need a by pass cable with the parrot system so it isnt impossible.
Hope this helps.
Matt

Not disputing what you have had done, but I`m struggling to see how it would physically work and connect? The term you are using of Bypass cable is confusing - what exactly do you think you are bypassing?
If you have the specific details of the lead / kit, then that would assist me (and others) as to how you have got around the problem. But tell me, does the sound come out of all four speakers, and does it also come out of the subs? If so, then I think I know what has been done, and the parrot has been "loaded" to drive the input side of the BOSE system (not 2 ohms, but a different range of voltages), and the term bypass lead is nothing more than jargon from the fitters.

I don't know the name or make of cable that was needed and I am not an audio expert thats why I suggested contacting Halfords Romford or the other company I suggested.
I have been told by several people that have this parrot kit fitted that they also needed a " by pass cable" if you have some sort of amp in the car. My brother in law had to get one when he fitted one in his range rover and was also advised he would need one on his BMW M3, both have a Harmmon Kardon system IIRC...
This is what Parrots website says for the Omega
"The installation of your hands free car kit needs a specific ISO adaptor.
Parrot does not sell this harness. Please contact one of our certified installers for more information."
Sorry I cant be of more help, just wanted to advise that it is possible to have such a kit fitted to an Omega because I have got one.
I will check where the sound comes from when my car comes back from the garage, it is away having cambelt and big service at the moment.

Problem is that many of these companies use us for tech support !! And we don`t know the answer.

Only concerned with the Omega, I have easy solutions for other makes of car
;)

The lad in Halfords looked in some sort of parts catalogue they had in the store and ordered it for me, chelmer car sounds made a phone call to a supplier whilst I was in the shop to get price on the cable and they didn't say it would tricky or hard to get hold of.
I only went with Halfords because I got free fitting if I bought the Parrot kit from them which at the time was £200 plus whatever the "by pass" cable was (about £65 IIRC).
Chelmer car sounds wanted the same plus an additional £100 to fit it all in the car.
Neither company said it would be impossible to do just more time consuming to fit because of the bose amp that's all.
If you are interested in having this kit fitted give them a call.
It worked out expensive but it is a bloody brilliant bit of kit and works a lot better than some of the manufacturer kits that come installed on modern cars, my bro has a new Fiesta with a similar kind of thing, bluetooth and ipod or usb connectivity and it is shite in comparison to the parrot kit and I bet it cost more as an option new than mine did retro fitted. :)
