I have found a NCDC 2015 in a car in the scrapyard... The guy told me that I can take everything what I need.
But that's my question, what do I need to make this headunit working on my car? Do I need to take the CID with the NCDC?
I already have a CID and a NCDC2013 on mine.
Thanks all! :y
-
take it all, as CID will be paired to the 2015 :y
-
So only the 2015 and the CID? Anything else?
-
Telematics unit Dany. Usually in the glovebox, and all associated wiring/loom/connectors you can remove. Get the GPS aerial if you can. £200 plus from GM. Handy as a spare :y
-
Yes, as Rob says, everything you can! Head Unit, Head Unit cage including aerial plugs and length of cable, Telematics, Screen, as much of the looms as you can including the aerial flylead for the Telematics, The glovebox inner and the roof aerial and loom.
-
Ok! But I already have a telematics module with his plug (bought on egay!). It will works with this 2015? No pairing needed for the module? As I know only the headunit and the CID are paired right?
-
Everything is paired and unless you have the Car Pass you will struggle to unpair any item.
-
EErrrfff so I have bought this module for nothing?
-
Screen, Headunit and Telematics have to stay together unless you have the carpass to 'un-pair' them. They are bricks otherwise!
If you have the Headunit then TB may be able to help if you are able to ship Head Unit, Telematics and screen to him.....
-
I only have a telematics module that I have found on ebay at the moment (that I can't do anything with it!).
But I will get all the set so on the car on the scrapyard!
-
If the donor screen is from a different engined / spec vehicle the screen will also need reconfiguring but this doesn't need the pairing code. :y
-
As VXL V6 says, NCDC, CD Changer, Display and Telematics are all paried to each other. They cannot be seperated unless depaired first, then repaired to their new components.
-
And if you want to fit to your own car, which has 2013 and CID only, then you'll need an extra loom making to fit any telematics... ::)
Another customer for Andy. ;)
If buying any of these components separately make sure they are de paired by the seller first or they are useless, that's the whole point of the security with these units.
Bit as said grab all you can Danny, they are as a set and worth money as such. Get the loom plugs as well, just cut them off. Tidy find. :y

Already been having a chat! :)

If there's any documents in the car(unlikely) the car pass maybe there with security code.

I have called the guy today, in facts this car has been crashed on the back and used like an engine donor for another one. All the rest still in the car and I can get everything I want.
It's an "Executive" model (seems like the Elite model in Uk?), same engine from me (Y25DT), and same spec apparently (except for the headunit and telematics!). So they works on it for the moment (engine transplanting) and he will call me back when they have finished and I will let you know! :y
