Post by: waspy on 23 February 2008, 08:48:18
I'm sure some of you have been watching, but has anyone noticed a mistake with the Audi Quatro No plate "V reg". Audi didn't market the Quatro in the UK until 1983.
When i watched the first episode i thought somethings not right here  :-?, but you know how it is; am i right or am i wrong  ::)
So i did some research & yes, their wrong  :P

It was mentioned before it got as far as the telly. Even the MkIII they used in Life on Mars was a mixture of models, preface lift grille from a GXL/GT on a later car with an early K reg number. Gene Hunt could have been given an Austin Metro! :o  ;)

Yeah, the lights are post '83.

The other thing is that the original won't do handbrake turns.  (Trust me, I tried many times!)  They had to fiddle a hydraulic handbrake to get it to do those.

Anorak's :D :D :D
I do similar things with Heartbeat and the royal, the fire engines and abulances are not right for the time, now 1969, nor is the Anglia for that matter.  SWMBO just tells be to 'Shut up' it's only a TV programme. Think she needs to realise that The street and Emmerdale are only TV programmes, but I am not the one to remind her. ;D ;D ;D

The Street was pretty good, I liked the Taxi Driver story with Timothy Spall
