Post by: baxter on 07 May 2011, 19:58:24

i pulled over, turned the ignition off, then started up, light stayed off

keeps comming on and staying on,
i drove 10 miles with the light on, car is the same with it on and off, no idea why its comming on, no idea why its not affecting the performance of the car

What do you mean by electric light?

I'm guessing you mean the Orange Engine Management Light? If so, you need to get the fault codes read... It's detecting a fault somewhere ;) ;)

the light you think is the EML is the emissions light  ;)

Depends on the fault whether it goes into limp.
OBD socket is in the fuse/rely box under the steering column.  ;)

When the EML light is illumitated IIRC 30seconds or more, the fault code which flagged it is stored.

How did you get the codes (or lack thereof) read?
