Title: CID for my omega...
Post by: Kait on 30 November 2008, 21:07:13
Hi! i'm omega user  from Estonia. I'd like to get some information from you guys :).

I'm going to replace my omega's GID to CID. I allready know that I need to put my GID to "Delivery mode" and also CID that i'm going to buy has to be in this mode. I noticed watching different CID's in ebay taht there are different combinations of 2 letter marking e. "KJ", what's the diffenrence between them. Wich one is suitable for my car?

My car is 2001 Omega 2.5DTI with NCDC2015 GID and telematic.

Ahhh, a nice easy one.

Only two options for fitting in the Omega

CID 24459629 Ident KJ Superceded By 24439378

So, check for the above part numbers which were used in the Vectra, Omega, Astra and Zafira

Thank you! :y Bought one from ebay for 380eur for my friend. Got it programmed with my "low budget" "My Naff Code Reader" ;D. Works just fine.
He gave the old CID to me. Managed to get it work on my car whith in 2 hours(welding, testing on car, installing, programming). Works great for now.....time will tell for how long. ;D

PS. I was pretty suprised that cheap "My Naff Code Reader" have this function..... :)

One thing I noticed while driving, fuel consumption is noticeably lower now with CID.
My engine is 2.5dti 110kw but the CID in my car is from 2.2dti.

My question is: Is there engine type programmed in CID/GID, that makes this possible???

Yes, its has a code index that tells the fuel computer and check control systems the specification of the car.

Yup, tech2

Post up engine, gearbox type and number of gears, whether it has HIDs, any diesel fired cabin heaters, tyre size and someone will try to get index.

We do not have the Y25DT in UK (we got a Vauxhall 2.2 Diesel instead when the Y25DT came out), so first time I've looked at index for Y25DT, so have asked for too much info, sorry

CID Code Index for Y25DT with 235/45/17 or 195/65/15 and HIDs is 078

You need 250 posts before you can post anything in for Sale ?

Might try putting it in Test and ask for it to be moved by Admin
if they agree they will move or delete if not ?  :)

GIDs don't come up often in UK (nor do CIDs), but do not seem to hold a decent price when they do (unlike CIDs).

If not depaired, virtually worthless. If depaired, a few £30-£50 as a guess.

Colour is CID

Facelift will have one of following, depending on radio and spec:

In case of the car has a BOSE premium sound system is installed, will the code chage?
So the question is how can I program the car, which code? I want to make my CID to showBOSE label..
