Title: Ignition switched live feed under bonnet needed ?
Post by: Shark1e on 02 July 2011, 15:14:01
Hi all,

can anyone tell me if they know off their head if there is a live feed under the bonnet that is switched by the ingnition on / off etc, i have led lights in my grills next to bottom fogs and want them to be on once the engines running and not only when i put side lights or main lights on.

don't want to have to drag wires through bulk head from fusebox so just wondered if there was such a feed local under the bonnet?

thanks rob

IIRC the live feed from the alternator is blue/black, you'd use it to power up a caravan split charge relay/etc. It'll be live when the engine is running ie not just ignition live.
