I have a ccr2006 - is it easy to hook up a mp3 player to it?

fm transmitter is your best bet...

or day I say, cassette adaptor

no worries, from what I can gather the cheap ebay jobbies are nothing but a pain, one of those, bit of a pain to wire in, but much better performance.
