Just wanted to check that the CCR2006 headunit only has a 4 digit radio code for security, and is not paired with the screen, so therefore no need for tech2 when swapping from one car to another? Thanks. :y

I always disable the radio code, who`s going to pinch it ;D

Is that in the handbook? Makes good sense that! :y

When the radio is fitted & working, go through the same process that you use to input the code.............code disabled :y

I've found a 4-digit code written on a scrap of paper in the glovebox! Here's hoping... :-/

CCR2006 would only require a Tech2 if going from BOSE to NON-BOSE or vice versa, else its a straight swap with a simple code entry.
Entering the code is very easy, and a damn sight easier than trying to disable it !!

Yes, a 4 digit code for the HU only. If you get CDC Safe, then its knackered (but fixable).
Tech2 only needed on these for reconfiguring, eg country codes, Bose (only capable on some), steering wheel controls etc.

Cheers all :y
In that case, I assume that the screen can be swapped about with no security at all then?
