Title: BOSE default volume adjustment?
Post by: Pip on 22 September 2011, 13:08:44
This is really doing my head in but I cant for the life of me work out how to change the default volume on my BOSE PHILIPS in a 1999 Elite. I have to turn it up after every time I restart the car.
I found a work around, by turning if off before switching off the ignition it will then come back on at the same volume, but I normally forget to.

Does anybody know if and how it can be done?

Cheers
Phil

Sounds faulty  to me. Is it a CCRT700?

Mine certainly doesn't do that.

there's a sequence somewhere here to make the radio volume default to a higher volume when you turn it on. I'm at work at the moment, but to try to dig it out when I get home tonight.

Being a ccrt700, removing it for a couple of hours works wonders as well (but make sure you have the code!)

Why?  :-\ That's what it's designed to do, helps to protect your ears.  ;) ;) ;)

Reminds me of many moons ago when I was a then proud owner of a brand new Company Cavalier SRi, sometimes over the weekends we used to end up 'on it' somewhere in London, so would end parking the car overnight in some right dodgy back streets, despite having an alarm I used turn the stereo on pull the Ing. Key out, turn the Vol up to max and pull off the Vol knob off and throw in the glove box.

The amount of times I nearly gave myself a frecking heart attack the next day when picking up the car.
