What a superb weekend for OOF! So many Omega's sorted out by the willingness of some really dedicated people. :y Good to see a few old faces again and lots of new one's. :y Being mechanically inept, I took on the job of feeding the hungry hordes for most of the day and don't think I've ever barbeque'd so much meat. Don't want to see another sausage or burger for a while!! ::) but it was a pleasure cooking for you guys (and gals).
Right, now for a few thanks. Firstly, thanks to Guy for doing a splendid job washing and polishing my car while I was slaving over the barbie - top job. :y Also for bringing me a large plastic bag to put the BBQ in for the journey home which worked a treat - no stinky car. :y
Also big thanks to Jaime, James and Mark for replacing my gearbox selector for which hands were burnt on very hot cats while trying to get the old one off. Thanks to Mark for the door stay welding and to Daz for his nifty soldering and re-wiring my outside temp sensor. :y
By the time we got back to the hotel there were some rather thirsty guys gagging for beer myself included and I think we did a pretty good job in running down the bar's lager supply! ::) A big thanks to Broocie for giving me a bloody sore head in the morning with his never ending supply of various fine bottles of whisky back in my room after finally retiring from the bar about 2am. ::) Oh yes.......and for stinking my room out with his exhaust gasses. :o ;D
Got back just before 3pm just in time for the Carling Cup final.....well done you Spurs. :y :y :y So had to celebrate our fine win and ended up sozzled again.......day off work today!! ::)
Anyway, will post up a few pics shortly. Roll on the next meet. :y
