Hi everyone
Ive just bought a 2.5 v6 petrol omega, new shape with 80,000 miles on the clock with sat nav, xenon headlights and all the extras.
My question is what kind of money would this be worth so as i know if i had a deal or not.
Its got service history up to 70k and is in very good condition inside and out, The only thing it dont have is leather seats.
Cheers

what year & spec and has it had documented cambelt/tensioners?
-
I'm guessing its a 2000 MV6 (plod or retail), CDX or Elite....
-
Model, spec and year would be a good starting point. is the SH compleate?
-
looking again this URGENTLY needs its cambelt done if its not documented since its last interval of 40000. Be aware of the impact this may have !
-
Service is up to 60k maark and its all there, The car is a 2000 W cdx 2.5 petrol, I dont think its an ex plod car and its a gold color,
-
Is it a vauxhall SH and does it state the cambelt has been done or not?

Auto / Manual?

Where was it bought?

These can go upwards from £1000 depending on source and condition
You have given us next to nothing to go on here.....

Sorry, Its automatic from a private dealer and its a saloon

Quick look on Autotrader....
Fair few similar starting at £1300...
There are cheaper outlets....
Youve gone dealer, so likely have warranty etc.
Under £1500 youve probably done well
You could easily pay from £1500-£3000 at a dealer
There is such a wide range of these, please dont take offence if we are wildly off the mark :y

I paid £960, Strange price i know but just knocked him down to that price, So a good deal you say?

Will post pics when i pick her up 2morrow so you can all see her

Not bad at all from a dealer...
I paid virtually the same for my MV6 Estate
If the car hasnt had a cambelt kit within the last 40000, change it NOW (with the water pump), 80000 is a tradition mileage for having this done at, so most likely not done as the garage bill could be 1/2 what you just paid!
Probably also worth doing a few short oil changes - 1000 mile ones, you will be suprised the difference it can make.
Also go for a full service of Air & Fuel filters, and change the coolant.
And most importantly, enjoy your car!

Thanks jimbob, Great advice
I will get it done ASAP

Value is a funny thing, I'd give you £2.5k for a car I like but wouldn't give you £2.50 for 1 I didn't...
